GENERAL FAQs

  • In 2022, it was estimated there were 82,384 horses, and that same year 20,193 were removed. If all of the round-ups take place in 2023, well over 10,000 will be removed, leaving only about 50,000 horses still roaming free. Should the round-ups continue at this pace, in about four years all wild horses and burros will be removed from their homes.

What is OUR GOAL?

Our goal is to bring attention to the cruelty wild horses are facing, halt the roundup programs that are destroying our wildlife, and create a safer environment for our wild horses to roam freely.
